Pajero Indonesia Family (PIF) Pekanbaru Chapter Riau Province carried out an Independence touring to the West Sumatra (Sumbar) region in order to commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (HUT RI) which lasted 3 days from 18-20 August 2023.
The Head of the Pekanbaru PIF Chapter, Eka Fitrial, accompanied by Deputy Chair Thio and Secretary Arkis Tabrani, explained that the 2023 Independence Touring activity was attended by 40 members (40 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport units), and this was the longest touring series ever carried out by the PIF community throughout the archipelago.
"Of course, this activity is a source of pride for the PIF Pekanbaru Chapter community, and this cannot be separated from the hard work of the Organizing Committee consisting of the Chairperson, Mr. Erizon, Committee Secretary Jiffi and Committee Treasurer Budi who have worked hard to make this event a success," explained Eka.
Furthermore, the man who is more familiarly called Eka added that to prevent congestion on the road section that will be passed from the Gathering Point on Jl. Pekanbaru – Bangkinang KM.16 Rimbo Panjang, Kampar Regency to the West Sumatra region, we have collaborated with the Kampar Police Traffic Unit, the Payakumbuh City Police Traffic Unit, the Bukit Tinggi Police Traffic Unit and the Lubuk Basung Police Traffic Unit.
"We apologize to road users, especially the people of West Sumatra if the PIF Pekanbaru Chapter community touring series yesterday has disturbed road users considering the length of the series in question, however, we have arranged a mechanism to prevent congestion for our series on the roads passed where in traveling for the series has been divided into 4 series where each series consists of 10 Vehicle Units and departs at different times, "he explained.
Eka also mentioned, in order to foster a sense of family, several activities at this touring moment were carried out including games ranging from tug of war, sitting on chair music competitions, ball games using funnels as a viewing medium, cracker eating competitions for children touring participants to Live Music DJ, this is a form of pride in commemorating the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
